RA Sharon and Echo’s floor invited students to watch the live singing competition “Top Voice of Macau” held by Lotus TV Macau. Students also had chance to interview the program editor Ms. Song to know more about Macau music industry. Students all enjoyed the afternoon with wonderful live music performance!

2. New Year Gathering & Sharing

Students from Harry’s floor gathered together to celebrate Chinese New Year! They enjoyed snacks together and shared about Chinese New Year in their hometown. Students learnt a lot about the culture of CYN in different places and got to know more about each other.

3. Makeup Artistry

Vera’s floor invited an experienced professional  to introduce students about a variety of makeup techniques, such as daily makeup, South Korea makeup, party makeup and job interview makeup technique. Students learnt a lot from this workshop and were able to apply these techniques to their daily social life!

4. Fun of Bowling

RA 馬思群 and 樊喬菲’s Group went together to the bowling centre in Cotai to play bowling together! Bowling, as a sport requires quickness, power, and technique. This event not only promoted healthy living style, but also promoted their friendship through competition as a team.

5. Let’s have BBQ party and Exercise by the Beach

Sharon’s floor organized a BBQ and outdoor physical activity in Hac Sa Beach. Activities included food relay, volleyball, outdoor exercise on the beach, BBQ and sharing about Chinese BBQ culture. This activity promoted healthy living style and friendship among students, and all students enjoyed this sporty and sunny day!

6. Movie Screening: The Little Prince

Nina invited 12 students to watch together the movie, The Little Prince. After watching the movie, students shared about their feelings and knowledge about the movie. Students learnt to appreciate this western literature classic through beautiful animation at this movie screening night and also able to broaden their horizons by engaging in the insightful sharing session.

7. Oil Painting Workshop

RA Somnus’s floor organized an oil painting workshop for students to relieve their stress during midterm period. Jackson, one of our CYTC residents who is experienced in oil painting, shared some basic skills of oil painting. Through this oil painting workshop, students were able to relieve from the stressful midterm period and entered into a peaceful and relaxing aesthetic world!

9. My Favorite Three Kingdoms

RT Wen Han invited 12 big fans of Three Kingdom from his floor to discuss and share their feelings about this Chinese historical literature classic. They discussed about their favorite plot, characters, and watched movie clips about Three Kingdom. They all enjoyed this wonderful fans gathering afternoon, and also learnt a lot about Chinese history and literature through this activity.

10. Campus-Life Stories Sharing Tea Party

Sandy invited 16 students to share about their precious memories in campus! In 2 session times, College AM Dr. Lee and Fellow Diane Lu came to talk with students. Students share a lot about their college life on the campus so that they can know more about each other and understand more about their culture differences. They also created a warm atmosphere of mutual support through encouraging students who shared about their difficulties and stress.

 

11. History Tour

RT Harry organized a history trip to Lei Chi Vun Village in Coloane. Local students were invited to share about the history of this place. Through this day trip in Coloane, students got more familiar with Macau history and built up their friendship.

12. Cycling in Coloane

Silva invited 10 students to cycling from Taipa to Coloane. Besides doing more healthy physical exercises and relaxing themselves from stress, during this trip, they also visited some old village area of Coloane. Thus, they were able to learn more about the history of Macau!

13. Nail Design Workshop

Professional nail tutor, Ms. Chan (陳子鳳), was invited to share some basics skills of Nail Design. Besides some basic introduction to nail design, students were also able to learn through practice. With the guidance of Ms. Chan and students’ creativity, they all benefits from making their nails beautiful!

14. Go Bowling in Spring

Echo invited students from her floor to play bowling together. Although they had taken some time to wait for bowling lane on that crowded Sunday, they enjoyed the whole process of playing bowling and gathering. This activity successfully promoted healthy living style and friendship among them.

15. Escape the Chamber of Secrets

Escape from the Chamber of Secrets is a popular game among teenagers, which requires teamwork and puzzle solving skills. Richard and Tom invited 9 students from their floor to take an adventure in the Chamber of Secrets. Through this thrilling experience, they work with each other to solve difficult puzzles in the Chamber and enhanced their friendship and teamwork!

16. Lighting up the World

Yui invited 17 students to “light the world up” by making scratch painting. Every student was provided an introduction and tools to make a scratch painting. Besides boosting their creativity and aesthetic sense, they also had chances to relax themselves through creating their masterpieces.

18. Movie Screening: Black Mirror

This floor activity included watching the English movie “Black Mirror” and a discussion session after the movie. Through this movie, students debated about the influences of technology to the world and students were able to not only discuss about the plot of the movie but also make them rethink about technology.

19. College Life-learn about how to make English Healthy Breakfast

RT Richard, RA Vicho and Jackie invited 24 students to make delicious English healthy breakfast together in the early morning. At 8:00 a.m., students were all ready to make a delicious English healthy breakfast by a video clip provided to them. They all enjoyed the time having breakfast together and sharing about the culture of English breakfast and healthy breakfast!

20. Springtime Excursion to Coloane

RA Echo and Yui organized planetarium workshop for students to get more knowledge about the universe through some wonderful experiences! In this activity, students needed to assemble planetarium together and project a beautiful universe onto the wall. Afterwards, they shared their knowledge about the stars and planet. They learnt a lot about the galaxy and enjoyed the beautiful “sky” together!

26. Climbing Experience and Competition

Climbing coach who is also our resident余禮恆 was invited to coach students some basic skills about rock climbing. Afterwards students were divided into groups to have a small competition in order to practice what they have learnt. Students all enjoyed the climbing experience and competed to practice their skills!

27. Youth Day (May 4) Activity

Zhang Meng’s floor organized a hot pot dinner to pay tribute to May 4 Youth Day. Students had hot pot together and discussed about student movement in China and Hong Kong. They all enjoyed the delicious dinner and broadened their horizon from this activity.

 

 

28. Hot Pot Culture and Knowledge Contest

Silva organized a Hot Pot culture knowledge contest and 10 students joined the contest. Hot pot food was prepared and students were required answer correctly in order to get the food. Students learnt a lot about hot pot culture around the world and enjoyed the delicious hot pot dinner together.
