1. Secret Angels in CYTC

RT Trista introduced to the students on the 3rd floor about the game “Secret Angel”. In this game, each participant received a name of the student from the same group to take care of her. Then they had about 2 weeks’ time to treat this targeted student kindly. However, the identity of the “secret angel” has to be kept secret. Every student was “protected”, and at the same time, she was the other’s “secret angel”. This activity enhanced their relationship and successfully built a warm and kind atmosphere around them.

  2. Decorate Your Door and Corridor

In order to create warm and home feeling in the dorm rooms, Echo and Silva invited 20 students decorated their own cork boards together with the theme “Travel around the World”. They had also evaluated their final products and chosen the best to be the winner. In 3 hours’ time creating their masterpieces, they learnt not only to cooperate with each other selflessly, they had also strengthened their friendship through the enjoyable moment! Under Nina’sguidance, two group of students successfully baked two delicious and beautiful cakes – this was actually the first time for all students to bake cakes! The 1st floor and the 4th floor of CYCT co-organized a thrilling basketball competition called “CYTC Basketball Playoffs”. The basketball competition didn’t just promote physical health for students, it promoted friendship among students and enhanced their leadership abilities through basketball, a sports game that required teamwork and cooperation. RT Trista invited our non-resident Mr. Loi Hou, who had got the Specialty barista level 1 degree and had one year working experience as barista, to hold a workshop about coffee to 20 students. During the one and a half hours’ time, students had learnt about the history of coffee, how coffee seeds are transformed into a cup coffee, types of Espresso coffee and different coffee brewing methods, as well as the coffee culture in Italy and Taiwan. The activity Coffee and Life wasn’t just about tasting coffee (Taught by Mr. Loi Hou), it was also about stories behind this magical drink through different perspectives (historical, geographical, biological, cultural, and business). 15. Fun of Bowling

17. Chinese Food Festival and Cooking Contest

RA Amanda from the 2nd floor invited 9 students to cook Chinese food together. At the evening of 8th November, students gathered together to cook dumplings and stir-fried chicken with big dish. 18.CYTC Indoor Archery Contest

RA Vicho and RT Tom’s Floor organized archery contest to build up friendship and teamwork among students. During the archery contest, students were divided into teams of 5 players to eliminate all 5 enemies with their bow and arrow in order to win the game. 19.The Art of Makeup

RT Nina invited a professional makeup artist in Macau, Ms. Zoe Leong, to hold a workshop, “The art of makeup”. In this workshop, Ms. Zoe Leong introduced to 13 students about the history and culture of makeup and demonstrated some basics makeup skills to them. Students were also able to practice what they had learnt through a makeup competition in which 4 groups of students were required to apply makeup on a volunteer model of their group. 20. Hometown Sharing Conversazione

RT Wang Likang organized an activity that student needed to introduced their hometown (dietary habit, special culture and etc), Delicious cuisine made by students were shared during the activity which established a warm and friendly atmosphere. RA CHEN JIAQING’s floor organized a climbing experience and competition day for students to try and enjoy a sports that not all students have experienced before. Thanksgiving is one of the most important festivals in one year. It provides us an opportunity to thank those who concerned, helped and supported us in this year. It is a chance to teach students to learn thank as well. Thanksgiving is also a festival of harvest no matter crops, but also hopes. We will harvest what we have today with grateful and thankful mind in this activity. While flying kite, students learnt about the very culture which Chinese people gave to, behind the little kite. 23. Let’s Make Delicious Okonomiyaki

Echo invited 16 students from the 2nd floor to make Okonomiyaki together! Okonomiyaki is a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients. Okonomiyaki literally means “grilled as you like it” in Japanese. As the name implies, what goes into it and how it is prepared depends largely on personal preferences. That’s why it’s sometimes known as a “Japanese pizza” in the US. Through this activity, every participant was able to make the “what they wanted” Okonomiaki. 27.Secret Angels around Me

RA Yui introduced to students from the 3rd floor about the game “Secret Angel around me”. In this game, each participant received a name of the students from the same group and students have had about 2 weeks to be especially kind to the targeted student. However, the identity of each student was kept as a secret. Every student was then be the “master” of a secret angel, and was also one of the “secret angels” herself. At the end of this activity, a fruit gathering was held for all group members to sit and express their feelings to not only talk about what they’ve learned from being “Angel” and “Master”, but also helped them relieve from the exam stress. 28. “Exam All-Pass!” DIY Biscuit Activity

In this activity, Silva invited 10 students to make biscuits together. After they had made the biscuits, students were required to write cards with wishes that their friends will be able to pass all of the following exams. Finally, students needed to give the pack of biscuits together with the card as a gift to their friends in the college. This activity not only taught the students the skills to make their own biscuits, but also to share their products and good will with others.
