It’s a good opportunity to build a good relationship with other college members, build up team spirit and figure out their common interest. During the dessert making process, three members worked as one group to make one kind of dessert. They learned teamwork in the process. During the discussion part on dessert, they shared their opinions about French dessert and also compared the difference between French dessert and Chinese dessert. Students learned more about Mid-Autumn Festival culture and hotpot culture of Hunan Province. In Mid-Autumn Festival, there is the idea of reunion. Students from mainland China felt warm when sitting together and having the reunion hotpot dinner. They certainly had a great time together. In the two-hour making process, students worked harmoniously. At the end of the activity, some students made music boxes successfully.  Obviously, this activity has reached our expected goal which was in the process of making the music box, students knew more about each other and cultivating the team spirit. At the same time, it improved students’ hands-on ability and made students learn more about the music culture. This event introduced the origin of instant noodles and the varieties of instant noodles all over the world. It included only classic taste such as seafood, braised beef and other, but also cheese, Tom Yum Gong and other tastes. This event gave the participants in-depth understanding of instant noodles, combined with tasting different instant noodles. This event successfully attracted around 30 floor members to attend.   1. An Adventure of Sports and Macau Culture

RT Wen Han led the participants in Elegance Hall to visit three different places around the Camoes Garden, which are St Anthony’s Church, Morrison Chapel and the Casa Garden. He explained the history of those buildings in the 16th century and the cultural integration between Portuguese immigrants and Macau local citizens. And then students went playing bowling; our resident Zhao Shankang, who is a  professional at playing bowling ball taught group members how to hold the ball in a correct way and knock the pins. Some students may not be familiar with Japan. After this activity, they experienced a short trip to Japan through the Japanese student’s sharing. RA Money taught 14 students to do the desserts in 3 evenings. The group members reduced the stress of the new environment and new semester through making desserts. They also got the chance to know one another. Students were divided into 3 groups for preparation and cleaning of this activity. All 3 groups had done a good job in their own task. At the beginning, RA Jackie demonstrated the stories of the origin of Budae Jjigae and invited students to cook the soup of Budae Jjigae. Students felt interested in the stories and cooking.   1. British Tea Culture Appreciation

RA Zhang Zhengyu facilitated this event. First of all, he introduced the origin and the developing process of British tea, then the British culture background and traditions behind the afternoon teas, for example, how to take the cup, how to locate and manage different snacks, and the difference between the Low Tea and High Tea. Second part he also introduced some cultural content and famous buildings in UK, like University of Cambridge and University of Oxford, and other famous persons like Sherlock Holmes and Harry potter. Third part was the time for discussion and enjoying the afternoon tea. Students also watched the TV series Sherlock Holmes and Britain’s Got Talent that contains lots of British culture. RA Vika organized this activity and introduced ways to make various kind of delicious dessert such as Okonomiyaki (大阪燒) which was a local snack in Kansai area, Japan. Our Japanese exchange student Mayu showed others how to make it. Yet, it is not only about making the dessert, students were also required to learn the culture context about various kind of dessert.
